Lucy's advice booth

People with a high level of well-being ...

  • perform their jobs better,
  • make better decisions,
  • get along better with others, and
  • are less likely to leave their jobs.

It's like chair massage for the psyche!
We offer 30 minute well-being advising sessions on life and work issues. Through an interactive one-on-one discussion we help people get to the heart of matters quickly and clarify their key issues and priorities. We work with them to identify resources and opportunities, and to develop practical strategies that motivate them to bring their best selves to their work.

After an advising session people report a greater sense of well-being including feeling less stressed and more grounded, invigorated, excited, hopeful, confident, and focused.

We are available for a day of 3 to 7 hours, offering thirty minute (or longer) sessions to staff members. Contact us to discuss what would work best for your business or organization. Also see the frequently asked questions below.

"I invited Beth and Eric to two of my writing classes entitled "Book Completion Groups." It was incredible what Beth and Eric perceived in only 15-20 minutes of individual coaching with each student. They told me things afterwards that explained difficulties my students were having, difficulties I had been trying to help some of them with for years. They gave concrete useful advice to each of them, and helped me understand new ways to reach each student. A number of them even came back the very next week having made significant changes in their lives. I guarantee you, you will be glad you asked for their help."
~ Andy Couturier - Author and Teacher

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Beth Meredith and Eric Storm when I was feeling overwhelmed with life's circumstances and generally depressed. As a result of our work together, I quickly found renewed energy and a clarity of priorities and purpose that was not evident to me beforehand. I was especially taken with their professionalism in dealing with any sensitive issues that surfaced - their approach was always honest and direct, yet gentle and dignifying. I am truly grateful for the joy they have helped me restore in my life."

FAQ

What types of issues do you advise on?

We advise on a broad range of life and work issues drawing upon our 30 years of experience and learning. We have extensive experience in organizational and personal issues and are familiar with many tools and frameworks. We have helped people with issues such as interpersonal conflicts, decision making, family issues, finding passion and motivation, prioritizing, and time management. We do not advise on specific legal, medical, therapeutic, or technical issues in these sessions. Should we encounter an area in which we are not qualified, we offer referrals and other resources.

In general we recommend that staff members be allowed to discuss whatever issue is most pressing for them. Life issues often impinge on one's performance at work and clarifying those can help free up attention and energy for job related tasks.

What's the format?

It's pretty simple. We meet with someone for the specified period. (We recommend 30 minutes at a minimum). During that time we may use a combination of tools to quickly and effectively move from identifying the key issues and resources to developing practical strategies for moving forward.

Are the sessions confidential?

We recommend that the sessions be confidential in order to allow the most important issues to emerge. However, we have offered sessions that are less confidential in order to provide useful feedback to the organization. We will discuss what best fits your goals and clarify the level of confidentiality with everyone involved.

What do you need in terms of space and materials?

An inviting and well lit space that is at least 6 ft. X 6 ft. with sound privacy and 3 chairs.

Who pays and what does it cost?

These advising sessions can be paid for by the organization as a benefit to their staff with the option of a co-payment from the staff. We can offer these on a one time or periodic basis. Prices vary accordingly. Contact us to discuss what would work best for your group or organization.
